Carrier Flux – an avant garde black metal project fronted by Jeff Phillips of Minneapolis
- has signed a 3-album contract with Aural Music imprint Code666. Carrier Flux’s
experimental approach to black metal is a welcome addition to the Code666 family of artists.

exploratory work that frays the edges of the genre. Fans of dark, atmospheric metal will
appreciate the intricate song structures & evocative qualities. the Visionary Artwork  has
been created by the very talented artist Costin Chioreanu.
Carrier Flux was born in 1999 and released two albums so far: the dark & experimental
Introspective Nightmare (2000, Self-released) and the brooding & philosophical In Waste
(2002, Black Lotus Records). A multi-instrumentalist, Jeff Phillips plays guitar, bass,
keyboards, vocals and programs drums for Carrier Flux, mixing & mastering the audio
in his Minneapolis-based sound studio. Phillips has also been involved with a number
of metal & dark ambient projects, including Cold Colours, Blood of the Earth and Vedisni.

DETAILS AND ARTWORK FOR UPCOMING FEN ALBUM REVEALED
Details of the third full-length album from UK Progressive Black Metallers FEN have been announced today.  The seven-track album “Dustwalker” is set for release on the 21st of January on Code666 Records, and will be appear in both CD format and as a limited edition Clambox which will feature a bonus track and include a pendant with the band’s distinctive logo.  Artwork for the album is by the FEN’s bass player Grungyn.
Track listing for “Dustwalker” as follows:
I. Consequence
II. Hands of Dust
III. Spectre
IV. Reflections
V. Wolf Sun
VI. The Black Sound
VII. Walking the Crowpath
VIII. Epilogue (special edition bonus track)
FENwas formed in 2006 by The Watcher (guitars and vocals), Grungyn (bass and vocals) and drummer Theutus.  The latter would later leave the band, to be replaced on drums by Derwydd. Setting out to meld the cold rage that runs through Black Metal with the more introspective and reflective emotions found in the post-rock/shoegaze genres, FEN was able to evoke, through music, a vision of the Fens, an area in England noted for its desolate, windswept landscapes.  Like the region after which the band is named, FEN’s music has an almost other worldly aura that speaks of loss and unrequited yearning.“Dustwalker” will be FEN’s third album on Code666, who previously released the band’s debut full-length “The Malediction Fields” in 2009 and “Epoch” in 2011.  FEN recently announced that they had re-signed with the Code666, a sub label of Aural Music, for a further three albums after “Dustwalker”.  Commenting on “Dustwalker “, frontman The Watcher had this to say: “If “Epoch” embodies a lonely walk into the deepening twilight of the fens in Autumn, then “Dustwalker” represents the cold, sharp greys of a bleak winter’s dawn.  An expression of isolation, abandonment and a gradual detachment from the material realm, this album is a starker, more direct representation of the Fen sound.”  More information about FEN can be found on the band’s Facebook page HERE

SAILLE keyboard player Dries Gaerdelen previously stated: “When creating our new album, I did research on and was inspired by several ancient destruction rituals. The new songs are therefore darker, faster, more aggressive and create a feeling of unease. The lyrics, written by frontman Dennie Grondelaers, explore the history of those death rites. With the drums being recorded a while ago, we’ve all got a ‘recording state of mind’ and have a feeling we’re creating more than just songs. We’re looking forward to unleashing our creations on the audience, both on CD and live!”

SAILLE’s debut album, “Irreversible Decay”, was released in March 2011 via Code666 Records.

FEN RENEWS CONTRACT WITH CODE666 RECORDS
UK Progressive Black Metallers FEN have not only just finished work on their third full-length album, they have also renewed their contract with Code666 Records (part of the Aural Music Group) for the release of a further three albums.  Formed initially as a studio project in 2006, FEN draws its inspiration from the windswept, desolate landscape of England’s Fen region after which the band was named.  By fusing the cold rage of Black Metal with more reflective influences, FEN succeeds in creating a deeply intense, atmospheric, almost otherworldly sound, redolent of loss and melancholic yearning. More information about FEN’s third full-length album, which is titled “Dustwalker” and is a follow up to “The Malediction Fields” which appeared in 2009 and “Epoch” released in 2011, will be available shortly.
FEN frontman The Watcher had this to say about the new contract: “We have been happy with the way we’ve been treated by Code666 in respect of the first three albums, and were impressed by the enthusiasm that the label has always shown for FEN and the faith they have placed in us, so it was logical for us to continue a relationship that was obviously working well”.

FEN is set to appear at the three-day Winter is Coming Festival in New London, Connecticut on the 13th October, marking the band’s first appearance in the USA.  Their next European appearance will be at the Aurora Infernalis Festival in Arnhem, Netherlands on the 27 October.
More information about FEN can be found on the band’s Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/fenofficial
